As part of the EMEA Logistics Management Team and the main responsible for 3PL’s within Logistics the incumbent will work together with relevant managers to secure short-, medium and long term efficiency and profitability of the transport in the EMEA region.

The position

In this position you will be overall responsible for:

•Actively work in partnership with business partners to positively contribute to excellent sustainable business performance, with focus upon warehousing, logistics solutions and cost reduction initiatives

•Support business development in defining solutions, crafting customer agreements and acting as subject management expert and operational leader to customer solutions

Among your main responsibilities and tasks will be:

•Procurement of DC 3PL’s providers in region

•Overall accountability of 3PL relationship, compliance and performance in region

•Responsible for supporting SSU’s/BA’s on changes to warehouse network

•KPI tracking and follow-up reviews with DC’s in region including Monthly business review meetings with SSU’s/BA’s

•Oversee quality and standard compliance in DC warehouses in region

•Responsible for gathering WH network information e.g. WH location, capacity and cost

•Resolve recurring issues and complaints management with 3PL

•Implementation and adherence to QMS

•Implementation of change projects

The position reports to the Senior Director Logistics EMEA. Ideally, the position is based in Eersel (The Netherlands).Travel is estimated at 30% annually but will depend on the portfolio of projects that the incumbent will be involved in.

As ideal for the position you are able to set direction, priorities and goals; able to secure plans and organization in order to realize and deliver ambitions and results; open and humble in learning for further development. You have strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively, and to establish and manage own work schedule / weekly activity. You are also able to lead change.

Some of your key characteristics include:

•Master/ Bachelor in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration or equivalent

•Experience from working with Logistics and especially with or for 3PL’s at strategic as well as operational level – in an international environment for 10+ years.

•Fluent spoken and written English

•Leadership- and influential skills

•Financial acumen and understanding of business drivers

As a person you are positive attitude and courage with a strong ability to influence. You are pragmatic and hands-on with a strong commercial focus. You are also action- and result oriented. You have a structured yet creative personality and knows how to prioritize.
